TMEE - Trip, Motor Vessel, Estuarine Educational, Main River

Get back to nature aboard the Starfish Enterprise on this educational trip that explores the diversity of life in the river and estuary. The Apalachicola River basin is one of the most biodiverse, productive and economically important aquatic systems in the United States. Marsh grasses, swamp lilies, wildflowers, and cypress trees draped with Spanish moss provide a scenic backdrop for herons fishing, ospreys feeding their young, and alligators slipping under the surface of the water. Dolphins fishing for mullet also frequent the river.   Plan to arrive 30 minutes before the departure time. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch, drinks, or snacks to enjoy on the cruise.
