Come sail aboard Gitana, the 52' gaff rigged schooner for a half day cruise.  Docked at the Maritime Museum, Gitana will make the run out accross the bay or up the river based on wind and weather conditions.  Take the helm or help to trim the sails to learn the handling of this traditional Florida built vessel.  The captain is Jim Edwards.  Jim is the Son of a commercial fisherman from the panhandle and great grandson of a whaler of the Azores.  Jim has twenty years of sailing experience.

Driving Directions:

Look to the right as you pass over the bridge heading west into Apalachicola. You will see the concrete docks on the right. Take your first right after the bridge and then the second right past the courthouse onto Water Street. Go 100 yards to 103 Water Street.
